Early morning, calm and looking for the reflections, almost too calm. Tried to balance the composition of the image, but couldn’t, again, avoid the wash out sky.
Quite historic to be here and see the famous National Assembly of Wales, ad of course the slate building lends itself to mono, like the texture of the stone against the steel of the words.
Seaford Sunset Adelaide #Dailyshoot on Flickr.
This is an uneditted photo taken on Seaford Beach Adelaide. Was desperate to catch the colours and had my camera on full zoom to try and add the small fishing boat which came out as a speck! Thought about cropping in but just loved the amazing sky on my favourite beach in the world!
Lake Windermere Cumbria Iphone #dailyshoot on Flickr.
Very early in the morning took this shot on my iPhone. Was a lot of early morning mist and the lake was flat calm. The slightly blurred grainy image adds to the atmosphere and for me enhances the reflections that I was trying to capture. Cropped for composition but otherwise unedited. Rested my phone on a fence post for stabilization but of course had to rely on the camera for exposure. Taken at Lake Windermere Cumbria UK, in the National Park.
Rapid Bay South Australia #dailyshoot on Flickr.
Trying to shoot the sky and wasn’t sure whether to convert to mono, but the colours were so amazing couldn’t not show them! Wanted the two jetty’s to be converging and also kept in the distortion for effect. Taken in Rapid Bay South Australia on a windy day.
Loved the shapes and reflection of this Thunderbird classic car. The colours are as original and the bodywork perfect. Tried to construct the image around the rule of thirds.Taken at Serafino Vineyard Adelaide SA.
A new bronze casting of the famous Hereford Bull has been put up in the town centre and is proving very popular for the tourists! Sited in front of the 16c Black and White house the attraction is particulary attracive at night with the spotlights. Hard to photograph though this was set up at a 4s exposure and stabilised using a tripod and my camera timer. Was pleased with the definition in the casting and liked the composition. Slightly cropped but otherwise uneditted
Staying in Le Mans France home of the famous 24hr race and this car was outside my hotel Waited until darkness and got this shot with the aspect of the car from the front. Turned down the contrast to isolate the background. Taken on my iPhone Le Mans France
Always on the look out for graffiti and this was unusual to see in Glenelg SA. The staircase of the bottom right gives scale so I left it in and colours are original.
A classic photographers shot but liked this because I was able to construct it slightly off centre and not symetrical. Also the chair puts it slightly awry. But loved the shapes and patterns it gives. Taken at Stanbrook Abbey Worcestershire UK.
